Sometimes called “man-opause”, Andropaues is the name that has been given to a set of effects that appears in some aging men, and have some similarities to menopause effects in women.

Andropause is associated with the slow reduction of the production of the Hormones testosterone and dehydroepiandrosterone in middle-aged men. A steady decline in testosterone levels with age may result in loss of libido and potency, nervousness, depression, impaired memory, the inability to concentrate, fatigue, insomnia, hot flushes, and sweating. These symptoms have been know to decrease significantly when patients normal testosterone levels are reestablished.
